Brodies advised on the sale of the entire issued share capital in UK sustainable asset investment firm FIM Services Ltd to Gresham House Holdings Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of the alternative asset management group headed by listed Gresham House plc).

The acquisition of FIM Services is part of Gresham House’s plans to grow its presence across specialist investment strategy sectors. The consideration was up to £25 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis (subject to certain adjustments).

The team at Brodies - Alistair Campbell and Liz Bruce (corporate), Andrew Akintewe (funds), Heather Thompson and Nigel Watson (tax and employee incentives) - drew on its expertise in corporate, funds and tax to advise the shareholders of FIM Services on the sale.

The whole sale process was conducted and concluded by Brodies in a highly professional manner and we greatly appreciated the guidance throughout. The input of those at Brodies over many years has seen our business prosper and grow to this point and we very much wish to continue this relationship moving forward.

Richard Crosbie Dawson, Managing Director FIM Services Ltd.
