Brodies provides Scots Law expertise to UK Government panel

Brodies has been appointed as sub-contractor to provide Scots Law advice in support of international legal firm Simmons & Simmons in its appointments to the UK Government’s General Legal Advice (GLAS) and its Finance and Highly Complex Legal Advice (FaCLS) panels. 

These panels make legal services available to Central Government and its associated bodies, including the Security and Intelligence Services, the Bank of England, the Medical Research Council, UK Export Finance and the Chief Inspector of the UK Border Agency.

Work that falls in scope for the Finance and Highly Complex Legal Advice panel will include highly complex transactions, finance, refinancing, capital markets, corporate transactions, projects, regulation and those involving innovative and strategically important transformational change. Together the two panels cover up to 52 different legal specialisations.
