Kirsty has a growing practice with experience in all areas of family law, representing clients throughout Scotland. As a result of her calm approach and a firm grasp of the law, her practice includes a significant number of difficult and challenging cases. She has experience in both the Sheriff Courts and Court of Session. However, she is committed to, and enthusiastic about, resolving disputes away from the court setting. She is a qualified collaborative family lawyer.

Kirsty was a member of the Legal Group within the British Association for Adoption and Fostering Scotland (BAAF Scotland). She also served as a member of the Children's Panel for six years, where she developed a particular interest in child law. Clients appreciate her ability to provide practical and clear advice in relation to all child law issues, including residence and contact, adoption and surrogacy.

Kirsty is a Committee Member of the Family Law Association, and formerly served as the Association’s secretary. She is involved in promoting legal education and organising family law training.

Kirsty lectures on various aspects of family law, including the children's hearings system.
