Ruth joined Brodies in 2012. She has a wealth of experience in helping people to plan for the future, and in dealing with issues such as incapacity or the death of a loved one. Whether you want to pass a family business on to the next generation, or minimise the tax due on a sale; establish a charity or make provision for loved ones, Ruth will identify options to maximise tax reliefs, protect wealth for your loved ones and from adverse claims, including claims on divorce or separation, legal rights, or potential future contributions to care cost. She will also highlight potential issues so that these can be addressed before they become a problem.
Ruth advises individuals and trustees and is focused on providing clients with the best possible advice and level of service. Ruth has particular interest and experience in the administration of complex estates, and is regularly involved in assisting business owners with succession and tax planning, including advising on residence and domicile issues.
Ruth is dedicated to excellent service and to providing clients with solutions to meet their objectives. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
