Brodies IP team has scooped yet another 'gold' ranking in a prestigious list of the world's outstanding patent professionals.
Scotland's largest law firm has been awarded a 'gold' ranking in IAM Patent 1000 2016 - The World's Leading Patent Professionals, which ranks and profiles leading private practice patent professionals and firms in the world's key jurisdictions.
Brodies' 12-strong IP team is commended for its "flair for KO'ing contentious briefs in the natural resources, renewables, food and drink and life sciences sectors on behalf of "its ever-expanding client roster [featuring] major multinationals from across these fields.

Now in its fifth year, the IAM Patent 1000 is compiled following a five-month research process involving some 1,500 interviews with private practice lawyers, patent attorneys and in-house counsel to gather market intelligence on the leading players in the field.
According to the guide, firms and individuals in the gold band are those that attract the most positive comments and are the "crme de la crme, [whose] success hinges on reputations established over lengthy periods of time, something which enables them to secure the most high-profile, big-ticket instructions from the most demanding of clients.
