It was with great sadness that we learned last week that our colleague and friend Lesley McDougall had died suddenly at home in Edinburgh. Lesley, who was our Business Development and Marketing Director for 18 years, will be deeply missed by colleagues and clients alike.
Lesley joined Brodies in 2006 from Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in London where she was a senior business development manager. During her career at Brodies, Lesley led our business development and marketing team and played an integral role in the growth of the firm. Making meaningful connections and building relationships with people were at the heart of her work, and she had a clear vision about how she and her team could contribute to the experiences of colleagues, clients and contacts of the firm. Brimming with ideas and enthusiasm, Lesley was particularly passionate about bringing together the worlds of business and sport and was instrumental in the creation of the Brodies Tennis Invitational event.
