UK top 50 and leading Scottish law firm, Brodies LLP, has again been recognised by the annual Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide for advising clients on high-value personal and family matters.

The firm maintains band 1 rankings for private wealth law services in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and as national leaders outside London. Brodies also retains a band 4 UK-wide ranking for family/matrimonial finance law.

Eight lawyers are recognised in the individual rankings, including partner Susanne Batchelor, who is ranked band 1 for the first time, alongside Mark Stewart, who retains his band 1. Partner Alan Barr is awarded senior statesperson status and partner Shaun George is ranked band 4 in the UK-wide category of family/matrimonial finance.

The Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide and its rankings for firms and individuals are based on detailed research and feedback from clients and legal peers.

Mark Stewart, partner and head of personal and family at Brodies, said: "We're delighted to be recognised again in this year's High Net Worth Guide. Our colleagues work closely with clients to manage a wide range of personal and family matters and provide guidance and clarity in complex and often stressful circumstances.

"Over the past year, we have continued to invest in the growth and development of our practice and our colleagues. This includes the promotion of Jessica Flowerdew to partner in personal law and the appointments of senior associates Debbie Reekie and Victoria Varty to the family team. We've seen three of our family partners – Sarah Lilley, Shaun George and Lisa Girdwood – recognised in the annual Spear's Family Law Index for the first time, and we've continued to support our lawyers in developing their specialisms, with family lawyers Kate Bradbury and Florence Fisher now trained in collaboration, and Sarah Lilley's Law Society of Scotland certification in trauma-informed law."

Partner Shaun George, who leads the family practice, added: "Continuing to bolster the skills and expertise of our colleagues ensures that we provide clients with a service that is specialist and considerate of all the challenges and unique circumstances that they face. We thank those clients for entrusting us with their matters."
