Over 90,000 people are currently living with a diagnosis of dementia in Scotland.
With an ageing population and changing demographic, this number is set to rise.
Training is vital in understanding the full effects of dementia across Scotland, and is key to providing the right help for people with the condition.
As such, the Personal & Family Teams across Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen recently completed a training session to become Dementia Friends.
Dementia Friends is an initiative run by Dementia Friends Scotland and supported by Alzheimer Scotland which gives people insight into living with the condition and advice on turning that knowledge into action.
This is just one element of our activity with Alzheimer’s Scotland, which is being led by Susanne Beveridge in order to increase dementia awareness within Brodies.
You can read more about the impact of dementia, our activity and planning for your own future in our recent blogs created for Dementia Awareness Week.
