Planning & Environment

Us planning folk live in an FOI world. And we’ve quickly grown used to accessing information on the DPEA website about live planning appeals.

It’s surprising then to discover that information on Court of Session cases is not available, even if you turn up in person and ask to see it.

It does seem strange that DPEA have all the papers for planning appeals on-line, but if someone submits a legal challenge against the reporter’s decision, then it is not possible to inspect that appeal or judicial review.
