Planning & Environment

Yes – 5 years old already!

Looking back, we described it as creating a forum for informal discussion and sharing of insight; getting under the skin of planning news and planning decisions; stimulating debate about how things are done; and generating ideas about how things could be done. I’m sure you will agree that it has done all of that – and occasionally provoked a smile too?

Not much has changed in 5 years – the first posts on the PlanningBlog were about schemes of delegation for determining planning applications; further procedure in planning appeals – especially the scarcity of inquiries and hearings; and Protective Expenses Orders in the Court of Session. Will we still be debating these issues in another 5 years time?
