Planning & Environment

There are frequently complaints about delays in the planning system. The Herald ran an interview with Paul Grant who owns Mackays (marmalade, and the Mrs Bridges products). He mentioned that an unforeseen 6 month delay with the planning application for redevelopment of their premises in Carnoustie meant the site went on the market at the wrong time, costing them in the region of £275,000. That’s a powerful illustration of the consequences of delay.
