The Herald reports the case of Swift Land Investments, who have been selling land on the highland croft of Achnabobane as an investment to small investors at what looks like a markup of up to 1500%, despite there being a section 75 agreement in place that seeks to prevent further development. Presumably the poor investors didn’t seek advice from a solicitor or planning consultant, so – an example worth mentioning if anyone ever questions the worth of getting professional advice before buying land!
