It looks like the “Garden District Debate” (see Neil’s previous blog on the proposed development by Murray Estates) has got MSPs talking. Or at least that’s what the timing of the new SPICe briefing on Green Belt Policy in Scotland would suggest.
Published within a month of the Edinburgh Garden District “charrette” it even uses the Edinburgh Green Belt as a case study to educate ministers on Government policy relating to the Green Belt.
One thing it doesn’t provide guidance on is whether or not MSPs, or their aides, should agree to provide the opening address at “charrettes” for developments proposed in the Green Belt. Maybe the author considered the horse had already bolted on that one…
