Public Law

The UK Government has published a report measuring the impact of the Bribery Act 2010 among small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The effect of the Bribery Act was to require “commercial organisations” to introduce procedures designed to prevent bribery. The report found that 50% of SMEs consulted either had no procedures in place to prevent bribery or did not know if they had procedures in place.

This is a remarkable statistic because having these procedures in place could make the difference between a business being prosecuted or not. We have published a more detailed article on the report which you can access here.

If you would like to discuss putting in place anti-bribery procedures for your organisation then do get in touch.
