We place importance on quarterly Meaningful Conversations between colleagues and their line manager to ensure development, progression, wellbeing and expectations are discussed regularly.

These conversations mean short term goals are regularly reviewed, which helps support longer term ambitions. These conversations also ensure colleagues understand how they can contribute to the success of the firm and how to progress their careers and move to the next level (if they want to), as well as providing an opportunity to check in on how our colleagues are. 

Mentoring and coaching play a key role in our colleagues' development. Our firm-wide mentoring programme is designed to give colleagues regular support out with their practice area, in order to further support development and progression.

Our colleagues also benefit from in-house legal and soft skills training, as well as ongoing support and guidance within their teams. We offer great opportunities for development and ensure that colleagues at all levels are involved in interesting client work. Legal training is managed by each practice area, with partners, senior associates and PDL's all contributing to regular training which develops expertise across the practice.

Our firm-wide training and development programme, developed by legal and business services colleagues, is designed to develop the skills we need to achieve more in our service delivery for clients and to better understand our culture and business.
