I am pleased to report the latest tiny addition to the Brodies' Family Team.

Associate, Nicola Kerr based in our Edinburgh Office, gave birth to wee Olivia last week.

That brings us to 11 babies born to members of the Family Team in the last few years, including 8 in the Aberdeen office alone.

The flexible arrangements which have been put in place by Brodies for those returning to work have been applauded by a number of clients who have benefited from the continuity of advice.

With the many advances in technology and the availability of "remote working", it is no longer necessary for solicitors to "burn the midnight oil" at their desks in the office-even at busy times.

Flexible working arrangements can lead to a win/win outcome for law firms, individual lawyers and clients alike.

Team work and cooperation ensure that high levels of service continue to be provided to all of our family clients.

Flexible working also requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time, client expectations and a busy work load.

Clients appreciate dealing with lawyers who display empathy, insight and understanding in relation to their family circumstances.
