In line with our strategic plans, I am very pleased to announce that, among a number of promotions across our firm, there have been three senior promotions in our family practice. Edinburgh-based Jennifer (Jen) Wilkie has become a Partner and Rachael Noble and Garry Sturrock (both based in Aberdeen) have been appointed Associates.

Jen joined Brodies three years ago and in that time has developed strong links with colleagues in London and overseas. Jen is an Accredited Family Law Specialist, a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and Vice Chair of the International Family Law Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law.

Rachael trained in Aberdeen and moved with me and the rest of the Simpson & Marwick family team to Brodies five years ago. Rachael has developed a strong practice advising mainly on complicated divorce and cohabitation cases. Rachael is a committee member of the Family Law Association and a trained Collaborative lawyer.

Garry joined us two years ago to specialise in Family Law. He has a particular interest in child law and domestic abuse cases Đ Garry appeared on a Scotland Tonight live broadcast last year to talk about domestic abuse law. An experienced litigator having trained as a Procurator Fiscal Depute, Garry is also a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Family Law Mediator and is trained in Collaborative Practice.

Like all of our colleagues, Jen, Garry and Rachael are committed to finding the best outcomes for their clients. I am confident that all three of these talented family lawyers will continue to make important contributions to the team and the firm in the months and years ahead.

Many congratulations Jen, Rachael and Garry
