CIP Academy - Procurement, insolvency and retention in construction contracts

In our launch of Brodies’ Construction, Infrastructure and Projects (CIP) Academy on Thursday 29^th October, the Brodies transactional and contentious construction teams will be hosting a seminar and networking event for junior/emerging construction professionals which will focus on the following topics:

• Procurement routes in construction projects and the different types of contract / risk allocation stemming from these.
• Contractor insolvency mid-way through a project and the associated implications.
• The UK Government’s proposed retention ban and the impacts on the construction industry.

Speakers will include solicitors Chloe Thomson, Nicole Cox and Alex McGee from Brodies’ transactional construction team, and senior solicitors Hayley Burns from the projects team and Emily Campbell from the contentious construction team.
