The Procurement Act 2023 came into force in February, making the most significant change to the rulebook for public and utilities procurement in two decades. The Act has brought in new procedures to which construction firms who work with the public sector will have to adjust, changed how suppliers qualify for public sector tendering opportunities, and introduced significant new transparency requirements around the performance, variation and termination of contracts.

In this webinar focused on the key points for the construction sector, Charles Livingstone and Jamie Dunne will look at:

  • which buyers the Act applies to and when;
  • the key changes to the procedures contracting authorities can use and the obligations they will have when using them;
  • the key changes to how suppliers qualify for tendering opportunities;
  • new transparency and publication rules; and
  • challenging decisions under the new rules.
