The Northbridge development, on the former Sighthill Estate in Glasgow, will deliver 824 new homes ranging from one bed apartments to five-bedroom homes.

The site is being regenerated to also provide parkland, cycle paths, open community spaces and retail units. The new iconic garden bridge spanning the M8 motorway will allow residents to walk to Glasgow city centre in 10 minutes.

Key highlights

  • Guiding Keepmoat through an extensive public procurement process.
  • Entering into a development agreement which balanced the public and private interest.
  • Managing several technical challenges including providing a legal framework for the delivery of a solution for legacy environmental site issues.
  • Negotiating complex build out arrangements with Glasgow Housing Association for the delivery of the affordable housing.

Outcome

We are continuing to support Keepmoat as part of the eight-year life cycle of this significant development which will transform a previously deprived area of Glasgow. The Sighthill Transformational Regeneration Area is the largest regeneration project in the UK, outside of London, and is key to bringing much needed affordable housing to Glasgow.
