Brodies is delighted to sponsor the SOLAR annual conference which is taking place at the Crutherland Hotel in East Kilbride on 14 and 15 March 2019. SOLAR offers an excellent opportunity for lawyers and administrators working for public bodies to meet and to hear about the pressing topics in the sector.
This year's theme is 'Collaboration in a Time of Change', collaboration is key within the local government sector with the focus on being able to work together to provide an excellent service for communities whilst demonstrating best value. Jackie McGuire, Head of Government, Regulation and Competition will be speaking at the conference on 'Local Governance Review' which will consider SOLAR's response to the Scottish Government's consultation, and in particular the legislative changes that SOLAR considers are necessary if the review is to be implemented.
