A Scottish Parliament committee is considering the potential economic impact to Scotland of leaving the European Union.

It's particularly interested in the impacts and opportunities for:

  • Scotland's exporters; and
  • non-UK companies investing in Scotland.

The committee is also asking for views on the potential impact on labour market issues, including migration and worker rights. It wants to explore ways to mitigate the immediate impact of Brexit.

If you're involved in a Scottish businesses, whether as an owner or worker, the committee wants to hear from you.

Comments are requested by 21 November 2016 (details of how to submit them are on the inquiry webpage).

The committee will also be visiting businesses and taking evidence at its meetings throughout November.

At the end of the inquiry the committee will write to the Scottish and UK governments to share the views and offer recommendations.

If you would like any help with preparing a submission, Brodies would be pleased to assist. You can contact Christine O'Neill or Charles Livingstone.
