Commercial Law update

In this session we explored topical issues impacting how we draft and negotiate commercial contracts and horizon spot for emerging business risks.

This session included a look at:

• Liability for illegal working breaches for third parties' employees and workers: when does it apply and how do we protect the business against liability?
• AI in commercial contracts – key considerations when drafting and negotiating AI clauses;
• cyber security: are you suppliers your weakest link? – managing cyber risk across the supply chain;
• Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act – an update on the implementation of the DMCCA, including the subscription contracts regime, new enforcement dates and recent CMA investigations into misleading pricing practices; and
• recent cases: a look at some recent cases and examining their business impact.
