When workers were sent home to work in March everyone had to adapt very quickly to homeworking. Everyone thought this would be a temporary measure but it looks increasingly likely that many workers who can do their jobs from home will continue to do so into next year and beyond….permanent homeworking is on the rise. In this session we looked at experiences so far and consider:
- Employee reactions to homeworking and isolation
- Effective communication to manage remote workers - do's and don'ts in the virtual world
- Collaborating to maximise efficiency; and
- Feedback and managing issues such as performance, grievances, misconduct and consultation remotely
