Visa routes after the offshore wind concession ends

The Offshore Wind Workers Concession (which allowed the employment of foreign nationals to join vessels engaged in the construction and maintenance of offshore wind projects in territorial waters) ends on 30 April 2023.

This session outlined the impact for employers in the sector and alternative visa routes for the sector including:

• frontier worker permits
• the skilled worker route
• the Global Business Mobility Service Supplier route; and
• what is permitted under the business visit rules.
