In this webinar, we considered action which may be taken where it is clear that the employment relationship has broken down but a decision to dismiss does not neatly fit into one of the usual categories of conduct, capability or redundancy. "Some other substantial reason" may be a potentially fair reason but how do you secure a fair dismissal for this reason?
