The Procurement Act 2023 will come into force on 28 October 2024, marking the most significant change to the public and utilities procurement rulebook in two decades. With that new rulebook comes new procedural flexibility and new opportunities to innovate, but also new and different duties including significant new transparency requirements.
In this webinar focused on public sector buyers, Brodies' Charles Livingstone and Jamie Dunne looked at:
- which buyers the Act applies to, and when;
- the key changes to the procedures contracting authorities can use;
- the key changes to the duties of contracting authorities when running regulated procurements;
- new transparency and publication rules; and
- dealing with challenges under the new regime.
