Scottish Environment Strategy after Brexit

In his latest contribution to our Brexit Hub, Managing Associate Niall McLean gives an overview of Scottish Environment Strategy post Brexit.

The recently published Environment (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Amendment etc.) Regulations 2019 intend to ensure that directly following exit date (current default exit date is 31 October 2019) there will be no disruption or immediate danger to the Scottish environmental protection framework.

Establishing a long term Scottish environment strategy, however, is a much more complex process which we will continue to follow and comment on as it develops - keep an eye on our Brexit Hub for regular updates on Brexit related matters.
