Chair of UK and leading Scottish law firm, Brodies LLP, Christine O'Neill, has been appointed as Queen's Counsel.
The rank of Queen’s Counsel is generally reserved for those who have distinguished themselves in practice in the Supreme Courts.
The award of silk recognises Christine's standing and expertise as a litigator, particularly in the fields of constitutional and administrative law and the range and complexity of cases in which clients instruct her. It also adds to the credentials of the firm's wider advocacy offering, Advocacy by Brodies, led by Tony Jones QC, who secured silk in 2017 after rising through the solicitor advocate ranks.
