Brodies' personal and family law department has been recognised for its commitment to supporting clients in high value, high profile personal and family matters in this year's Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide.

The personal law team maintains its Band 1 ranking for Scotland in private wealth in the official legal directory, which uses case studies, detailed research and feedback from clients and legal peers to rank firms and lawyers for their level of expertise in practice areas. Brodies' family team is ranked for the first time this year, becoming the only Scottish firm to be listed in the UK-wide category for family/matrimonial.

In the guide, the personal law team is described as "a safe pair of hands€¦whilst maintaining the human touch with clients" and sees eight of its individuals listed as ranked individuals, more than any other firm in Scotland. Interviewees also praise the family team for being "market leaders in Scotland" and "superior in client service and knowledge".

Mark Stewart, head of personal and family at Brodies, said: "I'm delighted to see that our services in personal and family law matters have been recognised in this year's HNW Guide, I would like to thank our clients for their ongoing support.

"The personal and family law teams at Brodies continue to go from strength to strength and have seen a series of promotions and hires across our offices over the past 12 months. These appointments underpin our commitment to delivering a high quality, comprehensive service to our clients across Scotland that helps them to address often sensitive matters and personal challenges."
