Practice Development Lawyer

Alison Waddell

Alison became a Practice Development Lawyer (PDL) in 2024. She provides advice and guidance to colleagues on statutory changes, developments in court practice and procedure, and case analysis. She works with colleagues at all levels, delivering training and research to inform colleagues' advice to clients. Her approachable style helps her to assist colleagues and answer queries in non-technical, practical terms.

Prior to becoming a PDL, Alison completed her traineeship with Brodies and joined the liability claims defence team in 2015. She handled personal injury and health & safety matters, assisting clients in a range of sectors with employers' liability and public liability claims, clinical negligence cases and in those relating to industrial disease, including hearing loss, vibration and asbestos exposure.
