Ally is a senior associate in our commercial practice, based in Inverness, specialising in matters relating to intellectual property, technology and outsourcing, commercial contracts and data protection.

Ally advises the firm's clients across key sectors, including financial services and FinTech, food and drink, life sciences, sport and the third and public sectors. He is part of the firm's AI Taskforce and plays a leading role in advising the firm's clients on AI risk governance and contracts. Ally also sits on the firm's food and drink sector group.

Ally regularly drafts and negotiates all types of commercial contracts for clients, ranging from complex IT outsourcing agreements, consumer (as well as B2B) terms and conditions, as well as IP licenses, SaaS contracts, grant funding agreements, and R&D collaboration agreements.

Ally also has a wealth of experience advising both buyers and sellers on corporate transactions from an IP, IT and data protection perspective. Ally combines his excellent organisational and project management skills with a positive attitude to deliver the best outcomes for his clients
