A recent addition to Brodies’ Energy & Infrastructure team, Drysdale advises on social and economic infrastructure projects with a particular emphasis on project sponsors and their funders. He has been rated for many years as a leading individual in the infrastructure projects sector by the Chambers and Legal 500 Directories: "Commentators are quick to note the depth of his industry knowledge".

During his career spanning more than 30 years, he has worked on projects throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Noteworthy recent transactions have included the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Services National Centre at Heriot Watt University research park, the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the Ayrshire College Kilmarnock Campus NPD projects and the procurement of a new harbour facility at Nigg Bay, south of Aberdeen, for Aberdeen Harbour Board.

Since 2008, he has chaired the Scotland group of the PPP Forum, the industry body for public private partnerships delivering UK infrastructure, which meets regularly with the Scottish Futures Trust and the Scottish Government's Cabinet Minister with responsibility for infrastructure to discuss the pipeline of infrastructure projects in Scotland.
