She has a varied practice which includes road traffic cases, fatal incidents and claims arising from workplace injury or the acts and omissions of occupiers. She has an established specialism in claims involving occupational disease including hand and arm vibration syndrome, respiratory disease and stress. Ellen also handles clinical negligence claims, regularly advising clients in the aesthetics sector when faced with claims for compensation or incidents giving rise to reputational risk. She acts for insurer clients and self-insured businesses in cases litigated in both the Sheriff Courts and the Court of Session as well as in pre-action matters.
Ellen has been complimented on her pragmatic approach to litigation, and her tenacity, qualities which have helped to deliver success for our clients. She takes into account each client's commercial and reputational interests when devising strategies and tailors the advice she provides accordingly.
