Jane is head of the Transactional Construction, Infrastructure and Projects Group and is an Accredited Specialist in Construction Law by the Law Society of Scotland. She has over 20 years’ experience in providing advice on all types of construction, engineering and infrastructure projects. She is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales. 

Jane has a particular focus on private sector real estate development and finance, with a wealth of experience in advising private developers, lenders and investors across the UK. She acts for a mix of developers, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and funders and regularly advises on all types of standard form contract including JCT/ SBCC, NEC, IChemE and FIDIC on a range of projects for build contracts, EPC contracts, consultant appointments and facilities management contracts. Jane also advises many clients in the industrial sector, including some international well known drinks industry brands.

Jane is highly skilled at working on large and complex, multi-party, fast paced transactions dealing with the differing interests of a variety of stakeholders, co-ordinating teams and meeting tight deadlines. She is regarded among peers, clients and across the industry as a very astute and commercial lawyer. Recent career highlights are most recently acting for Apache Capital Partners in relation to the significant BTR developments at Springside, Edinburgh and Holland Park, Glasgow, acting for international client EQT Exeter by assembling all construction documentation for the client’s mixed use and self-storage developments across London, including sites at Bermondsey, Watford, Sunbury and Cricklewood and advising developer Artisan Real Estate on the core construction documents for the development of 263 low-carbon, low-energy new build homes at Kirkstall Place, Leeds.

Over her career she has also led on many high profile public and quasi public projects of national significance including the Funicular Viaduct Strengthening Project in the Cairngorms for HIE and also the development of the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for SEC.
