Kirsteen has a masters in construction law (with distinction) and is dual qualified in Scotland and England and Wales, having over 20 years' experience in providing advice on all aspects of construction work, acting for employers, contractors, consultants, funders, developers, and sub-contractors in the private and public sector, drafting and negotiating bespoke contracts and all major forms of industry standard contracts (JCT, SBCC, ICE, NEC, IChem , FIDIC etc).

Kirsteen works with clients from the outset of projects, from producing procurement strategies, through implementation, and onto completion, providing advice on risk management at all stages of the construction process.

Kirsteen has advised on a variety of projects: from refurbishment of a 5 star hotel, the development of the new European headquarters for an international bank, new schools and a series of student accommodation projects throughout the UK to energy from waste plants, distilleries, civils contracts relating to installation of fibreoptic broadband and social housing. Kirsteen has also been providing advice to contractors and developers relating to the Building Safety Act 2022 in England & Wales and particularly how best to manage the new Gateway process.
