Nadine is a Partner in the Personal team at Brodies. She is exclusively qualified in England & Wales, having practised at regional firms on her 'home turf' in north-east England before joining Brodies in late 2022. She is a full member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has significant experience across all key areas of private client practice, including the set up and administration of trusts, estates, wills and lasting powers of attorney.

She also however has notable experience in advising on complex and, often, unusual tax and succession planning matters. Working collaboratively with Scottish-qualified colleagues, Nadine is often in involved in complicated analyses and work where the two jurisdictions 'meet'. This can include cases in which a client's connection to both jurisdictions may render the domicile position unclear, or where an English estate or trust holds Scottish assets. Wider cross-border work (acting for individuals who are domiciled outside of the UK, UK expats, and those with assets across many foreign jurisdictions) is also a key part of her repertoire.

Nadine frequently advises entrepreneurial clients, working closely with colleagues in the firm's corporate and corporate tax teams to spot opportunities for these individuals. She also works with other practice areas to get involved in transactional matters, which increases her exposure to novel areas of work. This has seen her set up trusts in the context of commercial projects for large corporate clients, partnerships, and family investment company structures. She has also acted in large share sales and purchases led by the corporate team, where selling shareholders may have settled shares to trust, or indeed a client purchaser is acquiring a target company held in trusts.
