Nicola is a senior associate within the banking and finance team in Aberdeen and is involved in a range of finance matters, acting on behalf of borrowers, banks and other lender. As well as advising on general corporate financing, asset finance and acquisition finance across many industries, she regularly acts for property developers and investors in financing the acquisition and development of property portfolios.

Nicola also has particular experience in the financing of renewable energy projects and shipping / marine finance, particularly onshore wind and hydro projects for landowning and rural clients. Nicola is experienced in managing high value transactions and advising on complex financing arrangements, including those involving debt restructuring. The transactions on which she works regularly cross jurisdictional boundaries, and she often works on international financing transactions with other lawyers across the globe.

She has been involved in drafting and advising on standard form documents for banks who are lending within the fishing and smaller craft / workboat industry in Scotland. In addition, she regularly advises borrowers in financing the acquisition and construction of new vessels.

Nicola is also a member of our firm's food and drink team and works regularly with other colleagues to provide a full scale offering to food & drink businesses, in particular to clients in the agriculture and seafood sectors.
