Nikki Neal
Nikki has specialised in a broad range of private client work since 2011. She is regularly instructed by clients to assist with estate planning, the establishment and administration of trusts and drafting wills. She also regularly deals with incapacity issues including powers of attorney and personal injury trusts.
Nikki has a particular interest in contentious private client matters and regularly acts for individuals in relation to estate disputes. She regularly advises on legal rights (Scotland's forced heirship rules).
Nikki regularly works collaboratively with Brodies' Disputes Resolution team to pursue and defend a wide variety of actions in both the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session, including actions to challenge the validity of wills, cohabitant claims on death, the removal of executors and trustees and actions of count, reckoning and payment. She also has experience with the administration of judicial factories.
Nikki is based in our Edinburgh office.
