Scott has extensive experience in real estate dealing with a wide range of rural and commercial property transactions, including acquisitions and sales for individuals, businesses and investors; development work for landowners and commercial developers; property finance; and leasing for landlords and tenants, including options agreements and leases for renewable energy schemes and quarries.
He specialises in compulsory purchase and utilities work and regularly advises local authorities and other acquiring authorities on compulsory purchase and land assembly for major transport, infrastructure and regeneration projects. Scott also regularly advises property owners and businesses in relation to compulsory purchase orders and compensation; telecommunications leases and wayleaves, including the application of the electronic communications code; and electricity, gas, sewage and water infrastructure, including options, servitudes, wayleaves and related compensation.
