Victoria joined the firm in 2019 from a national insurance firm. She qualified as a solicitor in 2010 and has spent in excess of 10 years specialising in Health & Safety law.

Victoria’s represents both corporate and individual clients facing investigation and/or prosecution for health and safety and other regulatory matters. Most of her instructions arise from incidents in the workplace, including serious road traffic prosecutions involving charges of causing death by dangerous or careless driving.

Her experience spans a wide range of business sectors including offshore energy, rural, transport, construction and the food and drink industry. She has advised clients on environmental issues and investigations by SEPA (Scottish Environment Protection Agency). She regularly appears in the Sheriff Courts across Scotland and represents clients at Fatal Accident Inquiries.

Victoria successfully defended a large plant hire company which was prosecuted following the death of an employee in the workplace. The case went to trial and the client was acquitted following a 3 week trial.

In addition, Victoria is regularly instructed to provide health & safety advice to clients in relation to enforcement action taken by the regulators and/or other non-contentious health & safety issues.

She is ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for her Health and Safety practice.
