Where do I go upon entry to the building?
As you enter the building, you will see the main reception desk on the ground floor. This is where you will be given a visitor pass. Scan your pass at the entrance barriers on the ground floor. To access the lift, scan the outside panel and select level 7. When the doors open, enter the lift and it will then proceed automatically to the selected floor. At level 7, our client reception team will be there to greet you and to inform your Brodies contact of your arrival. The view from our client reception area is outstanding - watch our video to take a look!
-
Where are the toilets located?
Visitor toilets are located in the main lobby of level 7, next to the lifts.
-
Is there wi-fi?
Yes, we have wi-fi available for visitors. Our client reception team will provide you with further details.
-
Is there somewhere I can make a private call?
Yes. We have a variety of breakout areas within our meeting suite where clients and visitors can go to make calls.
-
Are all the meeting rooms the same?
No. We have designed meeting spaces to suit a whole host of scenarios and requirements from informal conversations to virtual court rooms, to large conferences. Watch our video to have a look!
-
What COVID-19 measures do you have in place?
Your health and wellbeing is important to us, and we continue to ensure that our office spaces are kept clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Masks - Visitors to our offices can decide whether to wear a mask; there will be some colleagues that prefer to wear one while they move around and there will be others that are comfortable removing it. You are encouraged to do what's right for you.
- Social distancing - Restrictions have been removed in most of our work settings, however we have adopted the Distance Aware Scheme (Scotland) and Distance Aware Initiative (England), which recognise the importance of providing space and comfort for those who want others to take extra care around them. This may be visible because those individuals will be wearing their mask but, we will also provide 'Distance Aware' working areas in our offices and lanyards for those who request them. If you would like a lanyard when visiting our offices, please let your contact at Brodies know in advance and advise reception upon arrival. If you see a colleague wearing a 'distance aware' lanyard and are spending time with them, as a courtesy we would ask you to think about whether you wear a mask. Wearing a mask is more about protecting others, rather than ourselves.
- Personal responsibility - If you feel unwell and think you have symptoms of COVID-19, flu, or another infectious illness, we would politely request that you stay at home and take the time required to recover and reduce the risk of passing a virus/ illness.
-
What happens if a fire alarm sounds during my visit?
If the fire alarm sounds when you are in the building, please stay with your Brodies contact, who will accompany you to the external meeting point for all Brodies colleagues.
-
Where is the nearest train station?
Haymarket is the nearest train station to our office; it's a five minute journey by taxi, or a 10 minute walk.
-
Is there parking?
Capital Square does not provide parking spaces for visitors. However, there is an NCP car park nearby at Castle Terrace, with 750 spaces available – parking charges apply.
