We recognise the central role that our workplace culture and leadership plays in adopting wellbeing throughout the firm. We provide specialist support and training to our managers and colleagues through a bespoke wellbeing programme.

Our family friendly and Smart working policies reflect the wellbeing-centred approach which allows our colleagues to manage their work-life balance. We are aware that each colleague has their own unique wellbeing needs and for this reason we have developed a variety of wellbeing focused initiatives. Many are supported by our colleague networks, who complement the wellbeing strategy with their own physical and mental health themes, including Menopause Awareness and Men's Mental Health Campaigns.
We recognise that all of our colleagues are different and will have different needs at different stages in their lives. We want to make sure that we are acknowledging that there are pressures outside of the workplace that will occasionally have an impact at work. Promoting, and delivering a culture in which we care for our colleagues should make it easier to provide the support when it’s needed.
Kirstie Maclennan, People Engagement Director
Senior leaders and line managers play a pivotal role in embedding the culture, work practices and behaviours associated with wellbeing. It is imperative to expand the skills and knowledge of our leaders and managers through training and development to actively support their own mental and physical health and that of their teams.
Our employee assistance programme, provided by the Help@Hand app, provides easily accessible support including a Remote GP Service, direct access to mental health therapists, physiotherapy, and medical second opinion in addition to extensive life, money and wellbeing information when you need it.
Neuroinclusion
At Brodies, we value and respect all our colleagues as individuals. The skills, experience and perspective of a diverse and representative workforce allow us to see the world through many lenses, and open our ways of thinking. As a firm, we are committed to being a neuroinclusive employer and to creating an environment where our neurodivergent colleagues feel supported to reach their full potential at work.
