Tell us about your role
As a business development manager in the corporate team, my main purpose is to help drive growth and nurture opportunities across our employment, oil & gas, pensions, and corporate tax & incentives practice areas.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy most, and why?
The aspect of my role I enjoy most is the opportunity to work and collaborate with colleagues from a variety of practice areas and departments across the firm. This allows me to get to know so many different people and gain valuable insights into how the various parts of the business operate. It also enables me to build relationships with individuals from all walks of life, each bringing their own stories.
I place great importance on empathy – ensuring my actions and decisions positively impact those around me.

Which of Brodies five values resonates with you most and how do you incorporate it into your daily role?
Care resonates with me most, as it underpins my approach to both work and life. I place great importance on empathy – ensuring my actions and decisions positively impact those around me. I make a conscious effort to listen to and support colleagues and clients, believing that genuine concern builds trust and a positive environment.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I’d say take a leap of faith and don’t underestimate your abilities – you're far more capable than you think. Never be afraid of failure, as it’s often the best teacher and an important step towards growth. And lastly, never fear doing what is right even if it means going against the crowd.
What three things can you not live without to do your job?
Post-it Notes. Diary reminders. Chocolate.
What’s your favourite travel destination and why?
It’s hard to choose one! Malaysia stands out among many of my favourite travel destinations for so many reasons – incredibly hospitable and friendly people, vibrant culture, and breathtaking beauty. The country's rich diversity is reflected in its traditions, landscapes, and welcoming atmosphere. To top it all off, the food is aaamazing!
