I am very pleased to report that Donna McKay, Associate, based in the Aberdeen office has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Family Law specialist.
I have had the pleasure of working with Donna for a number of years - initially at Simpson & Marwick and since 2015 at Brodies LLP.
Donna is a well-known and highly respected member of the Family Law community in Scotland. She has a particular interest and expertise in the important and challenging area of child law.
In recent years Donna has served a board member of the charity, Avenue, and has been active member of Consensus Collaboration Scotland.
Donna has also qualified as a Family Law mediator and is a CALM member. She regularly assists clients to resolve their disputes outwith the court process.
Brodies now has eight accredited Family Law specialists in the team who are able to provide clients with expert advice across Scotland.
We are increasingly receiving instructions from clients and family lawyers outwith this jurisdiction and we expect this trend to continue post-Brexit.
