Rural Academy: introduction to the forestry sector

Brodies, in association with Scottish Woodlands, the UK's largest forest management company, is pleased to host our Rural Academy: introduction to the forestry sector.

Designed for surveying professionals from graduate level up to six years qualified, the seminar will provide an overview of the sector's contribution to the Scottish economy, its environmental and social significance, and the opportunities and challenges shaping its future. Attendees will gain practical insight into an industry that plays an increasingly important role in supporting rural communities, delivering sustainable development and helping meet climate change objectives.

Experts from Brodies and Scottish Woodlands will discuss the structure of the forestry sector, planning and regulatory considerations, legal issues arising in forestry transactions, and the opportunities presented by the Woodland Carbon Code. The session will also explore recent developments affecting the sector and consider its future direction, concluding with a Q&A session and networking opportunity.
