What made you choose an apprenticeship?
I wanted to gain further qualifications in IT and had already tried college, but it wasn’t the right environment for me to learn. The apprenticeship allowed me to learn about IT in a large corporate setting - prior to that my experience was within a small family business.
What are the benefits of taking the apprenticeship route into your career?
The opportunity to learn and earn at the same time, and to undertake coursework that could then be applied to what I was doing in my day-to-day role.
What did you know about the legal sector before you joined Brodies?
Not much, other than what I had seen on TV!
What advice would you give to someone considering the apprenticeship route?
It is a genuine – and valuable - alternative to university and college. You should definitely consider it.
