This is the start of your career, and you want to make the right choice. Ensure you have a good understanding of the team, the clients they service as well as the firm. Use this information to personalise your application and make sure you can answer the question why am I applying for this role?
2. Commercial awareness
We understand that you are at the start of your legal career however having a commercial awareness of the wider sector you are applying for will really enhance your application. Explore the opportunities and threats to the industry as well their clients. Don't worry if you haven't completed a seat in the practice area that you're interested in applying for. Highlight the transferrable skills you can bring to the role.
3. Be you
We want to get an insight into you as a person as well as your experience. Do not be afraid to show your personality. Highlight your interests, why you are applying for the role and what drives you.
