Returning to Brodies as its first Head of Inclusion and Diversity in November 2021 was a very easy decision to make.

I'd spent the previous eight years working in HR in financial services but had continued to follow Brodies from afar. As an organisation I've always felt that it has a clear strategy and purpose, and it's important to me that the organisation I work for has that. But perhaps most significantly, it's a place where I feel that I belong and where I believe colleagues' voices are genuinely listened to – which, from an inclusion perspective, is critical.

The firm is very focused on inclusion and diversity and it's a privilege to be able to combine working for an organisation that I am proud to be a part of, with enabling positive change both across our firm and the legal profession in Scotland. Being able to start this chapter in my career at the same time as Brodies starts a new chapter in its brand-new, cutting-edge office in Capital Square is just one added bonus of coming back.
