Tell us about your career at Brodies

I joined Brodies 25 years ago with the very big task of setting up the HR function at Brodies at that time. I have had the absolute privilege of working with Brodies over those 25 years and witnessing the transformation the firm has been through during that time.

The development, growth and ambition of this firm are phenomenal, and to have played such an active part in that, I'm truly, truly proud.

What is the best part of your job?

I now have a team of close to 30 colleagues. The best part of my role is genuinely being able to make a difference to the experience our colleagues have of working here at Brodies. I have such a great opportunity to work with colleagues across the whole firm in my day-to-day role, and from that, I think I get a really good understanding of what's important to our colleagues, so my role is pretty pivotal in that space.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I support a women-only running group and, through that group, I'll run 5K and 10K with them, helping lead them to that point, which is a gorgeous way to keep fit while also building that sense of community connection.

If you weren't doing your current job, what career would you choose?

If I had to do something completely different, I would be a florist. I absolutely adore being surrounded by flowers, gorgeous colours and lovely smells. That would be my ideal, although whether I could cope with those early morning starts, I'm not entirely sure.
